Software Can Make a Photo Dazzle

You can take your photos and print them as they are, but will you really be happy with them? They will be as you took them, with possibly extra foreground or background, or too many people. They might even be too dark or too bright.

When you buy photo editing software, you can make all sorts of changes to your photos. Generally, all of the software will perform the basic functions of changing color, contrast, and brightness. They allow you to crop, rotate, and mirror. They can clear red-eye. And some other basic functions.

Other features of some of the software include taking parts of pictures and combining them. For instance, you can take a picture of “Tom” and “Barb” and a picture of “Harry” and “Sally” and combine them in to a picture of “Tom” and “Sally” (all in fun, of course). Some software will even let you stretch parts of the photo for interesting results. Some have special; effects features, such as starbursts, “haloes”, and multiple images. You can also create projects such as calendars, collages, and Christmas notes using YOUR photos.

The idea is for you to think about the things you want to do and get the program that meets those needs. Some of the photo editing software that is available includes: Microsoft Picture It! Digital Image Pro is a decent starter program; Photo Shop Elements is a brief version of Photo Shop; Jasc Paint Shop – Power Suite has more tools than Picture It!; Photo Shop has virtually everything you would want, but for a price!
